Have you ever heard of quince fruit? Me neither! Quince resembles a small, yellow green pear and was first cultivated in the meditteranean regions of ancient Greece and Rome. Most notably, dried quince contains high levels of vitamin C, copper and the potent antioxidant quercetin, making it a great addition to your super fruit rotation! Quince can have a flavor similar to apple and pear, usually after it is cooked to remove it's astringent overtones.
