❗What is Miso and why it is good for you?
Miso is a traditional Japanese fermented paste used to add taste to various dishes, bringing on a salty umami taste.
It is made with a blend of soybeans and other grains fermented by koji "seeds" which produces enzymes that break the beans down sugars and acids.
Miso paste most commonly used to make soup but can be incorporated into sauces and dressings.
Miso soup is traditionally made with Miso paste, dashi base and ingredients like seaweeds, mushrooms, vegetables and tofu.
It can be made in minutes and it is abundant in nutrients: minerals and vitamins like vitamin K, vitamin B, manganese, calcium, zinc, protein, and of cause probiotics, all of those are essential for your digestion, nervous and immune system, and strengthen blood vessels and bones.
To make Miso soup uniquely yours you can play with different yummy whole-food ingredients:
Vegetables like potato, onion, garlic, carrot, squash, pumpkin, broccoli, green beans, celery, asparagus, spinach.
Tofu and mushrooms
Noodles like ramen, udon, or rice noodles

Awase miso is organic, non GMO and bio certified. It is a mix of both white and red miso which makes it a versatile ingredient, suitable for all types of Japanese cooking.

Miso is a savory fermented soy bean paste that provides easily digestible amino acids, fatty acids and simple sugars full of enzymes and probiotics which enhance over digestive system health.

How to use

The most simple miso paste preparation is found in the classic miso soup. Hot water is used to dissolve the miso paste at the ratio of 1 tablespoon per individual serving of soup, creating a rich broth. Many ingredients can be added to the soup including seaweeds, tofu, tempeh and other super food products.
