Rinse lightly, then soak in warm water for 23 to 30 minutes until softened. Simmer thoroughly in soups or broths for 30 to 60 minutes, or slice after soaking for other dishes. For tea, simmer 5 to 10g in 500ml water for 20 to 30 minutes, then strain.
