Lemon essential oil (Citrus limon), 10ml, extracted from the zest of ripe lemons. Zesty, citrus aroma.
Vaporisation: add 5 to 10 drops to a diffuser or aroma burner.
Topical application: dilute 4 to 8 drops in 10ml of a carrier oil such as cold-pressed sesame, olive, jojoba, argan or coconut oil. Can be added to bath salts, shampoo or conditioner.
Ingestion: 1 to 2 drops diluted in 200ml of water, 30ml of olive oil, a spoonful of honey, or in a vegetable capsule. Can also be added to smoothies and salad dressings.
Caution: this is a concentrated product. Conduct a skin patch allergy test before first use. The number of drops used depends on the user's age. For external use only; do not apply undiluted to sensitive skin. Use responsibly during pregnancy and keep away from direct sunlight. If pregnant or nursing, seek individual advice before use. Avoid contact with eyes and other sensitive areas. Keep away from children and pets. This oil is photosensitising; avoid sun exposure for 12 hours after applying to the skin. Some essential oils can interact with pharmaceuticals; consult your physician if you take any medication.
