Mango butter is extracted and refined from the seed of the mango fruit. Rich in antioxidants and with emollient properties, it is a popular ingredient in skincare formulations.
How to use for moisturizing: after showering, pat the skin dry so it remains slightly damp. Scoop a small amount of mango butter, rub it between your hands to warm and soften it, then massage onto the skin in a circular motion, focusing on dry areas such as elbows, knees and heels. It can also be applied to the face and neck at night after cleansing with gentle upward strokes, and mixes well with other natural oils such as rosehip oil.
Note: mango butter is not a replacement for sunscreen.
Storage: keep in a cool, dry place to maintain its texture.
Patch test: if you have sensitive skin, do a patch test before applying extensively, especially on the face.
