The japa mal is a set of 108 round beads with a knot between the beads. Made from selected 7/8 mm palosanto (Bercera Graveolens) diameter 65 cm long.

Japa mal means "repeat prayer." Japa mala has 109 beads, which are larger than the others. which has a thread hanging in a knot and represents the sacred Mount Meru

The japamal has the following meanings :
