Toast or dry-roast before use to enhance flavour. Grind into powder for spice blends or mustard paste, or use whole seeds in pickling brine and marinades. Add to curries, stir-fries and salad dressings, or combine with cumin, coriander and turmeric for tempering.
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from moisture. Use within 12 to 18 months for peak flavour.
